In addition to our many LEED® certified projects, we work to submit sustainable designs in other aspects as well. We’ve worked on projects with solar technology and Energy Star ratings. We’ve also conducted many life-cycle cost analyses to help our clients determine their footprint. Our knowledge of sustainability has led to many green build projects and has continued to educate the engineering community about the importance of energy conservation.
BLW Engineers, Inc. has completed design of several Passive House and Net Zero capable residential projects which include heat recovery balanced ventilation systems, drain water heat recovery, non-fossil fuel heating/air conditioning systems, climate specific targets and Peak Load/Annual Demand/Source Energy Performance Requirements. We currently have (3) Certified Passive House Consultants (CPHC) on staff.
